OPT FOR COMFORT (NO TIGHT SHOES!) AND VERSATILITY

  1. A LONG SKIRT You might not wear it much at home, but with a bit of flow it works well in a variety of locales. Plus it shifts easily from day (with a T-shirt and thongs) to evening (with a sleeveless blouse & heels).
  2. A COLORFUL BLOUSE Get too many neutrals going & you`ll find that your well-thought-out wardrobe just looks dull. You need a print or two to liven up your look & draw multiple colors together. That`s where a feminine wrap blouse comes in.
  3. TAILORED, STYLISH SHORTS Scrap the cutoffs or mere khakis. A pair of plaid Bermudas (or a very cropped pair of pants) can be dressed up with heels & a blazer, or go casual with flats and a T.
  4. A PERSONALITY JACKET & JEANS Sure, a pair of baggy jeans plus sneakers will mark you as a tourist faster than you can ask for a restroom. But choose a pair in a sophisticated wash & cut (try a dark trouser shape), add a beyond-basic jacket & flats, and you have a go-anywhere look for London or Louisville. And what packs better than denim?
  5. FLAT SHOES Metallic flats work from beach to cobblestone street. While they won`t flatter your leg the way a heel will, their cool-but-casual vibe goes well with a flowy skirt or dressy shorts.
